IYFR Taiwan Rotary Yachting Fellowship

A Message from the National Commodore

“IYFR fleets across Taiwan, linked island-wide — through sailing, ocean conservation and Rotary friendship, letting the world see Taiwan!"

Surrounded by sea on all sides, Taiwan enjoys rich marine resources and diverse harbour cultures, an ideal place for IYFR to grow. IYFR Taiwan belongs to the Pan-Pacific Area 3, with 11 fleets across the north, centre, south and east: the Voyager, POLARIS, Formosa, Galaxy, Sapphire StarFleet and Taiwan Light-up fleets in the north; Uranus and Gemini in central Taiwan; Southern Cross in Tainan’s Anping; Unique Seven in Kaohsiung; and Pacific on the east coast.

From north to south, west coast to east coast, our 11 fleets are steadily forming one complete maritime network. We hope this island-wide chain will make Taiwan a model base for IYFR worldwide, welcoming Rotarian sailors from around the globe to walk into Taiwan, sail toward Taiwan, and feel Taiwan’s warmth firsthand.

Passion for sailing, ocean conservation, joyful fellowship. Looking ahead, we will keep integrating the strength of our 11 fleets, deepen cross-fleet cooperation, and combine sailing activities, Rotary fellowship, ocean conservation and international exchange — making Taiwan an important hub for IYFR members worldwide.
